Privacy notice

What happens to the information you send us through this website.

This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics and loads nothing from anyone else’s server.

Who we are

South Derbyshire Karate Academy Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, number 12510411, with its registered office at Marble Hall, 80 Nightingale Road, Derby, DE24 8BF. We are the data controller for personal information you send us through this website. Contact us at info@sdka.co.uk or on 07791 608910.

The contact form

If you use the form on our contact page we receive what you enter: your name and email address, and your phone number, the student’s age and your message if you give them. We use it only to reply to you. We do not use it for marketing and we do not share it with anyone else for their own purposes.

Please do not send more about a child than you need to. The student’s age is enough for us to suggest a class.

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this site, so that we can read them. Netlify processes them on our instructions. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, unless the enquiry leads to membership.

Membership, trials and bookings

Booking a free trial, buying membership and booking classes happen on Club Manager Central and its ClubLink app, not on this website. Those services have their own privacy notices, which apply to the information you enter there.

Links to other sites

This site links to Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps, the App Store and Google Play. Nothing from those sites is loaded until you follow a link, at which point their own privacy policies apply.

Server logs

Like any website, this one is served by a host that keeps short-lived technical logs of requests — the page, the time and the IP address — to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify visitors.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
